Dear Members,

To develop the skills of professionals in the field of Process Safety, improve general awareness, and provide a platform for networking, ASSP-KC established a PSM Specialty Group.

PSM Specialty Group along with Core committee 2022-2023, formed a PSM committee to enhance Process Safety skills among members, by preparing PSM articles, arranging PSM trainings, arranging monthly Process Safety Technical Meets….etc., As per the plan the Process Safety technical meeting for September 2022 shall take place on the ZOOM platform as below.

PRESENTERS

Mr. Salman Burhanuddin

9+ years of experience in Implementing and Managing Health & Safety in the field of Oil & Gas and Petrochemical Industries.

Worked with well-known Contractors & Clients such as Kuwait Oil Company (KOC), Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC), Kuwait Integrated Petroleum Industries Company (KIPIC), and Tecnicas Reunidas (TR) for different projects. Well exposed to Aspects of HSE from the start of Construction to pre-commissioning; commissioning & Maintenance activities.

Mr. Tariq Abdullah

7 years of experience in the field of HSE with Computer Aided Risk Analysis (CARA), System Engineering, Salvage and Evolution of Fire Prevention at Plant, Safety Engineering and Its Industrial Application, to ensure compliance in the fields of Loss Prevention, HSE Management, Process Safety Compliance Assurance, and Nuclear Safety and Radioactive Materials as per international standards.

Knowledge of Structured Risk Review Techniques as part of HSE Impact Assessment (HSEIA) in the early design phase, analyzing how it improves design integrity in subsequent phases, and deciding the next phase of the HSEIA process. Completed Airport Authority of India training on how to fight the ATF career fire, as well as NTPC health and safety training at the thermal power plant.
