Online Training on Global OSHA #101 – General Worker Safety

Dear Members,

As per the requests received by our members, ASSP Kuwait Chapter Executive Committee decided to conduct one more session of Global OSHA # 101 Introductory General Worker Safety which is offered by Global OSHA, USA. It is the twelfth training program for the term (2020-2021)

Global Occupational Safety and Health Academy, LLC (Global OSHA) provides occupational safety and health training programs and courses on a global basis with a mission to provide a framework for developing and delivering high quality occupational safety and health training to workers around the world in order to reduce fatalities, injuries, and illness through Authorized Trainers.

ASSP Kuwait Chapter is pleased to present this online training program with the support of our advisory committee member Mr. Ashok Garlapati, who has volunteered to conduct this training.

Day 1 (Wednedday)     21st June 2021	16:00 – 21:00	Introduction of participants, Pre Test and Topics as per #101
Day 2 (Thursday)     22nd June 2021	16:00 – 21:00	Recap  and Topics as per #101 Course, Post Test, Feedback & Course completion instructions

• General safety and health hazard awareness.
• Identification, recognition, and avoidance in the workplace and on the job site.
• The course is composed of five hours of mandatory topics and three hours of elective topics.
• The mandatory topics include: Slips, Trips, and Falls; Electrical Safety; Personal Protective Equipment; Exit Hazards; Machine Guarding; Hazardous Materials; and Ergonomics.The elective topics are: Heat Stress; Motor Vehicles, Fork Lifts and Powered Industrial Trucks; Fire Protection and Prevention; Housekeeping; Ladders and Stairways; and Tool Safety.
• Please note that it is a basic fundamental course on Occupational Health & Safety principles.

Upon successful completion of this course, students will receive a course completion certificate from Trainer and be issued a digital badge from Global OSHA, USA. 

Maximum no. of trainees: 20

Method of evaluation of Trainee attendance: All trainees will be monitored for their participation through video cameras and through interactive quizzes, questions, comments etc.
