Introduction:
Activities at process industries like oil & gas, refineries, and petrochemicals, are associated with high risks. High impact incidents make the industry to relook into their Health, Safety and Environmental management system’s efficacy and improve upon the areas where special attention is required. Based on the disasters that occured in these industries, it is recognized that Process Safety Management is vital to ensure safety of employees, community, environment and sustainability of the business. American Society of Safety Professionals, Kuwait Chapter has recognized the need of enhancing competency in the area of Process Safety Management, for its members and general practitioners in the region. Also ASSP (KC) believes that organizations having competent process safety personnel to manage activities will lead to safer workplaces. With several high hazard facilities operating all around, availability of competent personnel will not only help to prevent loss of life but will also help to protect valuable assets thus contributing to sustainable growth of Kuwait and region. Accordingly, ASSP-KC is introducing a high value “International Certificate Course on Process Safety Management (Course Code PSM60).”

Who can attend:

Managers, Engineers, Supervisors and Officers who are associated with projects, operations and HSE of process related facilities.

What it provides:

The qualification is designed to provide a breadth of knowledge and understanding about PSM that enables qualification holders to contribute effectively to the management of process safety risks.

What it is not:

This qualification is not designed for expert professionals already having extensive experience of process safety working within the processing environment.
