Saturdays – 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm
Course Fees:   KD 150 (For ASSP members)            KD 200 (For Non ASSP Members)

COURSE OVERVIEW:

The NEBOSH HSE Certificate in Process Safety Management is designed specifically for those with safety responsibilities in the process industry, such as oil and gas, chemicals, plastics and pharmaceuticals. The course has been developed through a collaboration between the NEBOSH and the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) the UK’s Health & Safety Regulator.

This NEW specialist qualification aims to provide holders with the knowledge and understanding of Process Safety Management to ensure that they can contribute to the effective management of process safety risks.

This course is suitable for people all around the world who work in process industries such as oil and gas, chemicals, plastics and pharmaceuticals. Given the hazardous nature of these industries, these qualifications have been designed to give specialist knowledge and understanding to Managers, supervisors and safety professionals.

Mr. Aamir Rasheed is a Chartered Safety & Health Practitioner (CMIOSH), Certified Safety Manager (CSM), Lead Auditor & Tutor for ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001, Full Member of IIRSM UK, Lead Tutor for NEBOSH, IOSH, HABC & OHTM (Level 6, NVQ & Idip), as well as obtained many International HSE certifications. Mr. Aamir is a Mechanical Engineer and has more than 18 years of experience in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical and Construction industries.

FACILITATOR: Mr. Arshad Ayub Shaik

Mr. Arshad Ayub Shaik is working for Technip Energies as a Lead Technical Safety Engineer. Prior to this, he worked as a Safety Engineer for Kuwait Oil Company (KOC), a Process Safety Engineer for leading consulting companies and conducted more than 100 PHAs including software modeling in different sectors. He worked for reputed organizations such as KOC, KNPC, KGOC, PIC, ONGC India, IOCL, DCW, IAL, AMEC Foster Wheeler, Fluor, Petrofac, Saipem, Mott Macdonald and L&T in different countries of Europe, Middle East, Africa and India.

Academic Achievements:

  • Post Graduated in Petroleum Engineering from IIT Madras.
  • Gold medallist in Chemical Engineering (B. Tech).
  • Presented a paper in Marry Kay O’ Conner Process Safety Centre titled “Risk Assessment: A tool for Control room sitting” at Texas A&M University, USA
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
  • The NEBOSH HSE Certificate in Process Safety Management is a technical qualification. There are no specific entry requirements but the course does assume a certain level of knowledge.
  • Health and Safety Knowledge: This course assumes those taking the course will have a good understanding of general health and safety. It is therefore highly
  • recommended that students hold the NEBOSH International General Certificate or equivalent before studying the NEBOSH HSE Certificate in Process Safety Management.
EXAMINATION
  • Students are assessed by a 90-minute 40-question multiple-choice examination.
  • There is no practical element to this qualification.
  • Online Examination will be conducted by NEBOSH on 24th January 2024 (Wednesday).
