COURSE OBJECTIVES

The main objective of PHA-HAZOP Leadership training program is to create a global network of PHA-HAZOP Leaders and specialists with a shared understanding of PHA and HAZOP concepts in accordance with IEC 61882.
By the end of this training course, participants will be capable:
  • To develop a grasp of Process Hazards Analysis (PHA) ideas and their function in managing
  • health, safety, and the environment.
  • To give a fundamental understanding of all the MAH identification methods and the
  • appropriate times to utilize them.
  • To help people comprehend the duties associated with PHA leadership.
  • To teach fundamental abilities and practice using the What-If and HAZOP procedures.

TRAINER PROFILE

Chukwuebuka (Ebuka) has extensive experience in performing successful PHA Workshops, managing and performing Technical Safety Studies for mega projects in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Nigeria, Brazil, France and South Korea. He is a TUV Certified Functional Safety Engineer and an associate member of the Institute of Chemical Engineers (IChemE), UK. Ebuka has Over 14 years experience in performing HAZOPs, LOPA/SIL, HAZID, Bow-Tie workshops, SIMOPs etc. for FEED, EPC and Operations Phase. He is fully aware of the dynamic project life cycles and has strong records in ensuring that projects are completed in compliance with HSE Standards and within the project time frame.

In addition, Ebuka has chaired more than 100 HAZOP and SIL workshops for all leading NOCs and IOCs worldwide, including Saudi Aramco, ADNOC, British Petroleum, Shell, PDO, LUKOIL, QatarEnergy, QatarGas, Petrobras etc. He has good understanding of the Oil & Gas value chain all the way, from upstream onshore and offshore (fixed, floating and artificial islands), midstream and downstream (refineries, petrochemicals, fertilizers, LNG and GTLs). Ebuka has managed various large projects involving Technical Safety Studies and works in the capacity of a Senior Lead for Quantitative Risk Assessments, Fire & Explosion Risk Assessments, CFD based Probabilistic Explosion Studies, Escape Evacuation & Rescue Analysis.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

For people working in management, engineering (design, process, chemical, facilities, instrumentation and controls), operations, and process safety, this course offers a review of the major PHA and HAZOP Study issues and elements. The practical methodology taught in this course will be helpful to engineers, safety/environment staff, plant operators, area managers, and maintenance staff.
