As part of society’s continuous efforts to bring learning opportunities and the latest developments in the field of HSE, ASSP Kuwait Chapter’s Executive Committee along with the training committee is pleased to announce it’s first training program for the chapter year 2022-2023,  ISO 45001:2018 Lead Auditor training course, in association with Al Noor Consultancy and Training services, as below.

 LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

The aim of this course is to provide delegates with the knowledge and skills required to perform first, second and third-party audits of occupational health and safety management systems against ISO 45001, in accordance with ISO 19011 and ISO/IEC 17021, as applicable. In detail, the training course will provide technical knowledge and practical skills to become a competent Lead Auditor. Amongst others you will learn about:

  • Purpose and benefits of an OHSMS.
  • The role of an auditor Plan, conduct, report and follow-up an audit of an occupational health and safety management system to establish conformity with ISO 45001, and in accordance.
  • with ISO 19011 and ISO/IEC 17021 where appropriate.
  • Generating audit findings.
  • Processes involved in establishing, implementing, operating, monitoring, measuring, analyzing,  evaluating, reviewing, maintaining and improving an OHSMS.
  • Terms and definitions used in ISO 45001. Requirements for OHSMS documented information and the difference between maintaining and retaining documented information.Purpose and differences of first, second and third party audits.
  • Role of the auditor.

The training is highly interactive and consists of knowledge based sessions as well as role play sessions.

TRAINER

He is an Electrical Engineer turned HR & ISO professional, with 30 years of work experience. After 20 years in the Indian Navy, he served as Operations Head and as Head HR, in various IT and Manufacturing MNCs like MicrotecTel, Atos and Cargotec. He gained work experience and learned best business practices in the IT, Manufacturing and Logistic/ Marine sectors, for 10 years. Additionally, as MR for HRD dept for ISO 9001 and CMMI Level 5, he actively led and participated in many organizational projects in the areas of QMS, Capability Maturity Model – Integrated (CMMI) and Business process improvements.
As GM Training and Head HR, in the above organizations, he designed and conducted training programs on subjects like – Quality management, Change management, Leadership, soft skills, personality development, and CMMI for over 3500 professionals.
ISO AUDIT & TRAINER EXPERIENCE-
Lead Auditor with IRQS and also IRCA approved Lead Auditor Trainer for the past 7 years, in:
  • QMS- ISO 9001:2015
  • EMS- ISO 14001:2015
  • OHSAS- 45001:2018 and
  • Education Org Management system ISO 21001:2018
    IMS Audits – over 550 Mandays as Team Leader/Lead Auditor
ISO TRAINER WITH IRQS SINCE 2017. 
  • Since 2017 has Trained more than 350 professionals, through over 50 ISO LEAD AUDITOR Training programs (9001, 14001, 45001).
  • Of these, the last 15 LEAD AUDITOR QMS/ EMS/ OHSMS Trainings were Conducted Online since Jun 2020 – due Covid pandemic.
  • The trainings were for candidates – Indian and Foreign – across various industries -Manufacturing, Defence, Ports, Marine, Education and Information Technology (IT), including clients like Adani, JSW Ports, JM, Baxi & Co, Chowgule & Co, Kandla Int Container Terminal, among others.

BELOW PRIOR KNOWLEDGE HELPS PARTICIPANTS

Management Systems
  • The Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA) cycle
  • The core elements of a management system and the interrelationship between top management responsibility, policy, objectives, planning, implementation, measurement, review and continuous improvement.
Occupational Health and Safety Management
  • The intended outcome of the occupational health and safety management system:
    • provide a framework for managing OH&S risks and opportunities.
    • prevent work related injury and ill health to workers.
    • provide safe and healthy workplaces.
ISO 45001:2018
  • Knowledge of the requirements of ISO 45001 and the commonly used OHS management terms and definitions, as given in ISO 45001.
  • CQI-IRCA certified ISO 45001 foundation training course or equivalent.

CERTIFICATE

Successful completion of the course (continuous online assessments and examination) will result in the issue of a certificate, which may be used to support an application to become registered as an IRCA auditor.

Being certified as an IRCA auditor is a clear statement that you are a recognized, qualified and capable auditing professional.

NOTES

  • The exam shall be conducted using online mode.
  • Maximum 10 participants only allowed per batch as per IRCA. Hence, The seats will be confirmed on FISRST COME FIRST SERVE basis with paid registration.
